It appears to be amazingly hard to re adjust my mind whilst it slips into a shrivelling rabbit hole; maybe it’s going to take a few more days for me to vacate this cocoon of insanity. Whilst I did not trip due to undisclosed substances my senses were put through a physcadelic montage of obscure characters, costumes and interactive art installations.

It really is an immense sight to view somebody spending 30mins passionately picking up there arms and placing each limb inside a truck tyre to then be pushed down a hill with an algae mutated lake being the final destination. My own kicks certainly come much easier. Accurately titled ‘Suicide Races’, people had spent time, previous to this, making disastrous vehicles to partially carry them down the race course whilst a collection of nurses who resembled a mix between the clangalers and M.I.A, were on hand to pump water into the contenders so that they ‘ did not die’. Hugely entertaining, after an hour of ooooING and aaahING as if I were at a guy fawkes display I did in fact realise that my presence there was doing nothing more than aid my confusion and proceeded toward the bar. I lost track of the ‘main’ bar and ended up head in hand at an eco worshiping all man encompassing organic natural produce bar. I ended up being persuaded to have a shot of liquidised tree bark which apparently would ‘keep me buzzing for hours’ after a laugh and a sarcastic conversation I did one of their famous shots and left with the after taste of a sexual product of a goat mixed with sand.

Nothing like any other festival I have ever been too, during my hippy-esk upbringing I was a resident of Womad most years, and I can safely say that this is a finer mutation. Glastonbury is yet to be purveyed but the intimacy of Secret Garden is certainly a huge bonus to its perfectly obscure vibe and isolated brilliance. With a population of 5,000 slightly of-centred beings I felt right at home after ‘misplacing’ my friends. I found myself waking up in a haystack and calmly strolling down to the ‘Valley of the Antic’ stage, pitching up my rag and having the emotionally vibrating lyrics and voice of Peggy Sue and Pirates sooth my beaten body. Probably the only set of the entire 4 days I saw, where the whole audience were lying down as supposed to power testing every ligament in an energy fuelled dance off, with the goal of realising ‘does my body still work today?’

Still without the group I arrived with I made friends with a few zebras and undertook a mission from the ‘Ministry of Correspondence’ whereby I had to pin clothing pegs on unsuspecting members of the public, I won some fake money and continued to wander, befriended dead male brides and such. From the hours of 6pm-1am I found my new religion. Dubstep. I spotted my friends dancing in a circle near to centre stage with dedicated looks of bliss and vacant eyes I could see the music enhancing them as I had felt through every minute. What really made me truly realise that this festival was heaven was that I did not feel compelled to run up in despair, clutch them and scream ‘where have you been!!’ I just danced over through the crowd, put my hands in the air and brought them down to the electronic beats, cracked a smile and continued to enjoy myself in their presence.

The attention to detail and landscaping was really truly enchanting. Banana bundles were placed in the tree tops, every square metre of the garden was adorned in mind arousing lighting. I think I literally floated around this festival, my mind seemed constantly lifted and my soul free from all restraints.

Returning to good ole Londinium minus two shoes and with plus four 4 dreadlocks I think I digested all that this festival had to offer, and if there’s still more then maybe you can browse the photos and spot the man dressed as a snail from mars cross bread with a pirate on acid that I did not spot.

Good Job Mum and Dad for my naming me fairy.

This was shown to me today and it wasnt until I got home this evening and started to paint that an image of a small child appeared in my mind laughing and grimacing at what I had put to canvas. Which completly raises the aspect of 'my child could paint that' or 'i could paint that' for the lesser artist who will only focus and value therefore, upon workmanship and the medium used.

Although completly obsecure that the work is so well composted, i'm struggling to determine whether it leaves the talent of many modern painters, standing naked and without hands within their studios. Or this girl really is the modern day picasso.
Whatever she is and whatever the parental outlook, and yes I am considering the fact that she 'IS AMERICAN' I just hope this isn't the beggining of trying to 'celebretise' the artist in the empty way as many musical ones now are.

So a little bird has told me that Clothes swapping is the new trend, I remember when people used to frown upon me for charity shopping, and i'd be forced to make a ''quick entry and exit'' at my local oxfam, But APPARENTLY it IS cool these days so... HA told you. Anyway I went down with ahmed to drop of some clothes and then last night attended the catwalk show were the models looked ultra chic in everybodys throw outs.
Leaves some joy for the ''eco-friendly' 'issues but not so good for all those guys at the sweatshops making a ''decent wage relating to the economic status of the country in hand' 'hhhmmmm dont know which side I stand on here but im looking forward to gathering some more trashy 80's throwouts.

The launch party for Nokia’s SKATE ALMIGHTY was seriously mighty, after the first 5 minutes i was dancing around like Madonna and yes… I was actually wearing a leotard concelled by my jeans of course! I wasn’t shocked to see a few of those professional (show-offish) guys you would normally see busting out flower shapes with their wheels in Hyde Park,, scaring the old folks and inspiring the children.
It reminded me slightly of a very small festival, with greatly disco-balled-up 80’s remixed DJ sets from Simian Mobile Disco and Hot Chip, I tried with all my force not to use one of the portaloos on offer but the open bar limited my attitude and I even found myself having the pleasant sight of an andrex roll.

I had a few encounters with the same ‘bad skater’ who kept insisting he’d ‘never skated before’, seeming to think I was the race line for his skate marathon.

So after an episode of continuous laughter causing me to develop hiccups, sweating of all the free cocktails I was sent back into the real world queuing for half an hour to swap my four wheeled contraption for my shoes, ready to party on concrete and cringe as Alice Dellal and pixie Geldof acted up for the cameras.

pretending to skate down the flat escalators on the way back at waterloo I knew I had reincarnated a lost fruitful passion. Oh and yes I did fall over once but I was ‘dragged down’ by farai who lacked my talents!! but I still DIDN'T touch the floor.

Thought i'd post up the work I am showing at the gallery 1-2 Carnaby Street. Great fun watching peoples faces as they take a second look. Its part of collection that I am working on for material prints for the Fashion Designer de'jour come stylist Mr Jay Wilson. Which will be showing at London and New York Fashion week this coming September. So keep your zips and eyes open... If you can.

BLANK CANVAS-What you want what you really really want

In recent weeks the delights on Londinum have consumed me, after much deliberation and predominantly the lack of actually saving savings, the desire to relocate to a small village town with a catchy name in is no longer on my action List. My joining Pollocks in recent months has been an immense experience, Co curating and organising has been stressful beyond the relief that alcohol and love can provide. The launch night was graced with 4 body painted life models by up and coming creatives. It was a hugely satisfying event.

Graced with the leaders of the contempory art world, we manged to keep the paps in their snail homes outside for a good few hours. It was pretty much like a game of human tetris all the way to the bar, and the blank canvas looked like a Pollock within the first hour.
Greatly soothing to see everyone putting their souls into our huge canvas to document the progress of the week long event. If you havn't already come have a look, we are based at 1-2 Carnaby Street until Saturday the 5th July. Its Free for all. Red Bull did a good job of getting constant advertising as most are graced with the foul energy drink, oh the delights of overly keen marketing ploys. Anywho, everyones having fun, we have performances at 6.30 everyday from the likes of Flash Louis and Laura Marling and fingers crossed as the Mystery Jets have had words and almost promised to pop up during the week.

We invited the guys from DayDream Network to create murals on the top floor, they've done a great job, recently bringing their magazine to print.www.daydreamnetwork.com Great artwork and no adverts. fantastic!
